The following paper proposes the application and manfuacturing process for a novel PDMS label. This includes a double-sided adhesive and a uniquely cut non-stick film placed ontop of an acrylic disk, with PDMS poured the disk is spun, creating the label. A simple tensile testing application was shown with the device from calculating the modulus of the material from the z-deformation of a circular membrane. This label serves as the foundation for a variety of applications: basic pdms stick and place, bulk manufacturing of lab-on-a-cd chips, and other pdms based applications (cell-culturing, stamp lithography, etc.)
The responsibiltiies of being the first author on the paper
Working with COMSOL, and MATLAB to validate both simulation and analytical model respectively
Designing the seven-layer physical disk for tensile testing
Creating and iterating through multiple different non-stick films to allow for easy removal of the PDMS label
